I spent the weekend trying to figure out which blog post I wanted to post, but decided to honor my late father today, on what would have been his 86th birthday.
My father was a man of strong character, at times a larger-than-life personality, who worked hard to provide for his family, had a zest for life, loved people, & most importantly, he was present in our lives. Even in the days when his health suffered, he would show up. I am so grateful to have had him in my life.
These qualities, & so many more, remain with me today, & continue to ripple through my work & the lives I'm able to touch. I encourage families to cultivate a life together & think about legacy, resilience, integrity, & presence. These values create a strong foundation, not just for one generation, but they are passed down for generations to come.
So today, August 26th, I honor my father by carrying on his wisdom & encouraging everyone to reflect on the people & things that have shaped you, & decide what you want your legacy to be for your family today, & in the days down the road.
And Happy Heavenly Birthday Tat!
